Minimization of Damage

10.1

Manitoba shall have regard to minimizing the destruction of wildlife by controlling the water levels and flows to the extent that it is practical to do so.

10.2

Without limitation, for the purpose of avoiding many adverse effects on the community of Cross Lake, it is contemplated that it may be appropriate for Hydro to construct a control structure at or near the outlet of Cross Lake and to operate this structure so as to prevent the occurrence of low water levels which adversely affect the community and to restore, to the extent practical, the natural pattern of seasonal fluctuation in lake levels.
